West London's newest kid on the block, Sambrook's, came into being in 2008 when ex-City accountant Duncan Sambrook teamed up with with former Ringwood Brewery MD, David Welsh, setting up shop in a light industrial unit between Clapham and Battersea.
They brew two cask ales, Wandle, named after the nearby river, and Junction, already a medal-winner, picking up Gold the Best Bitters category of SIBA's 2010 Regional Beer Competition.
A tour here brings you close to the action, allowing you a chance to spend time with one of London's new breed of brewers.
Eco-friendly initiatives
- Recycling – the spent malt grains go off to local farmers for cattle feed and the hop leaves for fertiliser
