Festive Afternoon Tea in the Mayor's Parlour

14 December 2013 - 2:00pm

Head to the glamour of Brighton's Mayor's Parlour for a tea with a difference.

BHFDF-mayors-teaThe Mayor of Brighton, Councillor Denise Cobb, is opening the doors of the room normally reserved for receiving dignitaries, for a festive tea to raise money for her chosen charities in 2013, including the Argus Appeal, Age UK, The Martlets Hospice, Off The Fence, and Rockinghorse Children’s Charity.

There's tea and cakes from Brighton's award-winning Terre á Terre restaurant – winner of the Brighton & Hove Food & Drink Awards restaurant award as well as a finalist in the restaurant category of the 2013 Observer Food Awards – and the option of a glass of bubbly from world-beaters, RidgeView Estate.

Plus a chance to see the opulent furniture – straight from the Brighton Pavilion – and the ceremonial trappings of office, including the sword presented by the First Group of Deans from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Tickets: £20; with a glass of RidgeView: £25. For further information and to book tickets, visit the Food Festival website.
